Sharon called me and warned me. Her granddaughter was going to be difficult. She was extremely camera shy and essentially said good luck getting good shots. So we collaborated on ways to make Samantha as comfortable as possible in front of the camera. The idea? A TEA PARTY. YESSSSSSSSSSSSS.

I arrived for the shoot early to spend some time getting to know Samantha and allowing her to build a little bit of trust with me before I pulled out my huge black camera. Only when I arrived, she was not at all what I expected. She was warm, inviting and full of life. Oh and absolutely ADORABLE. I relished the time I had with her. And when her daddy arrived from work. Well her whole world lit up. It was easy to see the bond that these two have. Together, they are something special.

We started off the shoot with a tea party. One I was excited to be a part of.

Look at those blue eyes.

Samantha makes the best faces. You’ll see.
Yea, I told you about those faces.

I put this one up because it is so whimsical and childlike. Samantha was dancing on her stage.

My favorite of the day.

I think this was around the time we mentioned POPSICLES.

So CUTE!

Father and daughter singing together. This was so much fun. They actually GOT IN THE POOL!

These pictures of Samantha are absolutely incredible! She is such a beautiful girl who takes after her father. Kelly, you did such a wonderful job. My mom was so excited about the session and had some amazing things to say about you. Thank you for this gift.
